Tour Church Slavonic
Church Slavonic is a rich and beautiful language used in the sung prayer for much of Eastern Europe. In the United States today most of these common services are available in English, but Church Slavonic is still a rich source for study and understanding for liturgy in these traditions. Certainly for cantors, readers and others with a serious interest in these liturgical traditions the study of Church Slavonic is a helpful element for spiritual enrichment and textual study.

Here I provide a copy of the booklet published by the Passaic Eparchy "Byzantine-Ruthenian Antimensia in the Episcopal and Heritage Institute Libraries of the Byzantine Catholic Diocese of Passaic" compiled by Right Reverend Mitred Archimandrite Januarius M. Izzo. I offer this in multiple formats.

The fixed cycle of daily services has certain Psalms assigned to them.Certain Psalm verses are assigned to specific functions during the services. The Psalter is read once per week distributed through these services. The Psalter is also one of the most commented on books of the bible by the fathers.

Patristics Bibliography
This attempts to organize some of the English language resources for Patristic studies. We move from the most general to the more specific. I also include sections at the end for important foreign language translations of patristic literature and the sources for the the original texts in Greek and Latin. The universe of patristic studies is large. Thus this is necessarily a small subset that I have culled based on my own experiences.
Patristic Thought on the Inspiration of Scripture
Full PDF Paper
Scripture Inspiration
This paper will explore the status of patristic studies regarding the role of the Holy Spirit in the inspiration of scripture. This survey of the current literature in the field organizes the material based on the different expressions of inspiration observed in the patristic literature. Various scholars observe many of the same thought patterns in patristic authors. Related scholarly observations are placed side by side. This should facilitate a full view of the status of that observation.

Amos 2 Paper
Amos lived during the period of the divided kingdom. After the death of Solomon, the kingdom of Israel split into two jurisdictions, Israel in the north and Judah in the south. Judah is depicted by the Deuteronomic historians of the Bible as the true keepers of the Jewish faith. Amos comes from this true kingdom of the south into the Northern Kingdom to speak against the abuses of the north, but Judah does not entirely escape his condemnation either.

The Woman of Revelation 12
Full PDF Paper
Revelation 12
The woman in Revelation 12 has been the subject of many a treatise and a variety of proposals for her identification has been advanced. This is a cursive outline of the merits of Mary as the woman in Revelation 12, with a discussion of the weaknesses of this proposal as well. For the sake of brevity, the paper will hit the major points in the proposal with footnoted documentation to the fuller discussion of the issues mentioned. The identification of the woman as Mary is neither universal nor without problems, but neither is the identification of the woman in any other proposal.

AC VPN w/OSPF
The combines two of the convenience vpn features on the ScreenOS platform, dynamic routing protocol vpn and the on demand auto-complete vpn between spokes on a hub and spoke network. This allows a relatively standard spoke configuration process where only a few parameters are changed in the creation of a new spoke. But when the new site is added to the network full routing is established and efficient direct tunnels are created as needed.
JUNOS Securing OOB Management Traffic
Full PDF Paper
JUNOS OOB Mgmt
Most JUNOS based equipment provides a dedicated management ethernet port to create a separate management network. This allows connection and management of the devices independent on the operation and access of the production network. This access does not prevent the remote access and management of the devices from the production network only provide the dedicated management network for access. This technique uses a firewall filter (stateless packet filters) to secure the device against access from the production network so that only management network access is permitted.
ScreenOS - Hub-Spoke VPN with mix of Policy and Route spoke sites

Multi VPN Hub
This hub and spoke setup allows multiple sites on either route or policy based VPN to connect to a common tunnel interface. ScreenOS Force Internet VPN
Each site has internet access to establish the VPN connection. But all browsing from client machines on the remote site are directed to the core site. The process uses source based routing to force all requests from the remote LAN down the VPN to the core site gateway. On arrival at the core site the source address needs to be translated to a local core site LAN ip and then forwarded for internet access.

ScreenOS IPSEC VPN Configurations
Full PDF Paper
ScreenOS VPN
The screenOS platform offers two basic types of VPN for site-to-site tunnels, route based and policy based. The policy based option is what all standard VPN capable firewalls offer for connectivity. These create a simple point-to-point connection over the internet between the two sites and permit the traffic. Route based options add a layer of flexibility to the connection. These permit the use of standard routing features like BGP or OSPF across the tunnel and allow deny policies and more ganular traffic control on the connection.
